Myrne: The Quest - Greenlight and presentation

Oh boy!

It's been a year since I posted here?! I'm really... really ! (but I wouldn't say I'll never do it again, managing time is hard^^')... sorry...

Anyway! What did I do during all this time? Well, I worked on games, of course!

The game

You might remember a project called "Myrne: Beyond" I talked about. I'm basically still working on it... Except it completely changed since 2015.

It's now called "Myrne: The Quest" and is a direct sequel to Song of the Myrne: What Lies Beneath, my previous game.

This time, the game is a first-person action-RPG. I'minspired by masterpieces like Arx Fatalis and Morrowind, and a shit ton of other games, board games (yep, I play board games now, I discovered my whole life was a lie... Monopoly and other classics suck!) and pen and paper RPGs.

I made a trailer for the Greenlight campaign.

The release date is estimated to be around early 2017. Yeps, that's really soon :D

Most of the game is finished but it still need a lot of work to be fully playable and enjoyable.

Greenlight

Like I said, "The Quest" is now on Steam Greenlight to get its future access to Steam, so you can find a lot of informations about it there.

Don't hesitate to go read everything about it and leave a vote ;)

My Youtube channel

Since I don't post nearly enough here, don't hesitate to subscribe to my Youtube channel where I post some short videos of the games I'm working on from time to time.

See you next time!

What Lies Beneath update coming this year (hopefully)

Hey guys!

You might not know it yet, but I'm currently working on an update for What Lies Beneath.

My plans are to release it before the end of the year. It will add exciting features like a co-op mode and a new (very small) adventure that was only available on websites like Kongregate and GameJolt.

And way less exciting features, like this improved craft window^^

I also plan to release a small free game before the end of this year too.

Go check it out !

Third development anniversary for What Lies Beneath

Hey everyone.

We're October 23th. Three years ago, I started working on a game called "Song of the Myrne". While I never finished that particular game (yup), it was the base on which I built "Song of the Myrne: What Lies Beneath" (giving the same name to both products will be fun, they said :S ).

Sooo... Let's celebrate !

Game OST for free

The game OST is now freely downloadable by anyone: you, your girl/boy-friend, your dog,... anyone! That means :
I hope you'll like it :)

Those are updated versions of the soundtracks (new tracks, better mp3 tags and cover images) so if you already got the OST you might want to take a look at these and replace your old ones.

Development album

Since it's an anniversary, let's look at crappy and old pictures^^

This is the evolution of the game(s) during those three years (I tried to arrange them by date but it's not 100% accurate).

And that's all.

Hope you enjoyed that post and the free stuff. It should come with some sweet percents off the game's price pretty soonish (that means soon but not so soon^^).

Myrne: Beyond - Cooking

Hey guys!

The work continues on Beyond.

With the saving system implemented (I'm not 100% happy with it but it's working, that's all I need so early in the development^^) and most of the basic stuff working too (level loading, chests, quests, NPC dialogs,...) I'll probably be able to work on some content (quests, dungeons,...) really soon.

I made a very small video to show the very beginning of crafting.

I'm not sure yet how it will work exactly because for this game I want to minimise the UI interractions. I don't know yet if crafting your gear will be done through menus or if I'll find a clever way to do it.

But as far as cooking goes, you'll just have to throw some food on a fire^^

Myrne: Beyond - Technical demo and small presentation

Hey guys!

Long time since I didn't post here, as usual^^

So what have I been up to?

I worked on the next update of What Lies Beneath (which should add co-op) for some time but I still can't upload it on Steam because I had a lot of complications from the Unity 5 update and because I still need to test the co-op with a friend.

So I also started to work on my next big project, "Myrne: Beyond".

It will be an action-RPG heavily inspired by titles such as Morrowind, Arx Fatalis and Delver. Basically it will be Song of the Myrne except in 3D^^

The story will take place on a new planet, far in the future. You crash on this planet where technology got forgotten a long time ago.

The good news is you can try it now.

I made a little Easter demo. Don't expect fancy stuff, it's basically an excuse to walk in a village and fight some badies.

Here's also a gameplay video that shows a little dungeon. I strongly encourage you to follow me on Youtube to follow the development of this game :)

And that's all for today. Hope you'll enjoy this tech demo. Let me know what you think of it in the comments below.

Enjoy ;)

What Lies Beneath: Steam release trailer

Hey guys!

I'm really happy to announce you that What Lies Beneath should be released on Steam in less than a day.

You can visit the shop page here.

I made a new trailer for the occasion which shows the new things you'll find in-game (yeps, the game releases with a new content update).

Hope you'll enjoy the game as much as I enjoyed making it :)

See ya!

We got greenlit !

Hey everyone. You probably already guessed what I'll talk about with the title of this page but yeah...

The game is finally greenlit \o/

Whooo !

Thanks to all of you !

I'll try to publish the game as soon as possible but I want to finish the content update first. This update will break savegames so it would be an absolute non-sense to publish the non-updated game and then, release the update two weeks later^^.

The update is basically finished... Except it needs to be tested, tested, and tested... Also tested...
I can't say a date yet but it should be less than a month.

It will enter closed beta very soon.

Be patient, the game will be in the Steam store in no time :)

Thanks again !

You're awesome, yep, all of you.
